Impact Of This Movie

The way "A New Hope" captured hearts and imaginations around the globe set the stage for its successors to build upon. The sequel, "The Empire Strikes Back," took everything that made the first film extraordinary and deepened it, creating a richer, more intricate adventure and emotion. It wasn’t just a continuation of the story. Not only was this heavy with moments of shock (I Am Your Father) it lived up to its predecessor. It was a groundbreaking chapter that expanded the universe and introduced layers of complexity to beloved characters and made the franchise as a whole take a bunch of twists and turns along the way. This movie in particular is one of the only movies where the bad guys win through a good 95% portion of the film leaving the ending on an uncertain and almost eerie cliffhanger. That’s what I love about this movie so much as it was willing to do what no other movie was doing at the time.
